Anyone who subscribes to my blog or my YouTube channel as well as anyone following me on social media knows that I talk about DevOps and databases a lot. I can’t help it. I have a real passion for the topic. I sincerely believe we should all be taking advantage of the ways we can improve what we do offered by DevOps. It’s not just me.
Gene Kim on DevOps
If you haven’t read book The Phoenix Project, you should. Go get that done. I’ll wait.
You back? Good. Loved it right? One of the authors of the book will be presenting a webinar with Redgate Software (my employer) on Tuesday, September 25th on 2018 at 17:00BST (that’s 11:00 CDT here in the US). He’ll be joined by Steve Jones to talk all about a new report on the State of DevOps. More importantly, he’ll be talking about databases within DevOps.
You are not going to want to miss this opportunity. Gene Kim has done so much more than write the Phoenix Project, but I bring that up because it’s so immediately approachable by so many that it’s a fantastic intro to the concepts around DevOps. Mr. Kim is a real industry leader and this opportunity to share a little time with him (even if it is virtual) shouldn’t be passed up.
Here’s a link to all the details and a registration page. I hope to see you there.
For other readers who may be looking for a link to what Grant is referring to above (“Gene Kim on Devops” and “The Phoenix Project”), it’s a book, not a blog post–as I wondered at first, since he said to go read it and he’d wait. 🙂
Thanks! I meant to have that link in there and I completely forgot. I’ve updated it. And yeah, a little joke.
Great. Thanks. As always, just trying to help–as indeed you are, and we’re grateful!
Great book, its on some subscription technical reference sites as well.
Do you know if the webinar will be recorded? Unfortunately its 2am in Australia at the time.
It will be recorded and should be posted within a week.
